What are the benefits of Breathwork?

Breathwork benefits the well-being of our physical, mental, and emotional state.

What if I don't feel anything?

This is also a possibility! You may even fall asleep! However, it is important to know that INTENSITY does not equal TRANSFORMATION. Breathwork, even simple breath awareness, can be a powerful and impactful practice for the body and mind. 

Over time and continued practice, you will learn that breathwork is a tool, and growth and healing take time. You will learn and grow in many ways with continued practice - from exercising the literal muscles involved in breathwork (hello diaphragm!) and the figurative muscles of the practice (alignment, awareness) which allow for expansion and access the more you engage. 

Do I need prior experience?

Not at all! 

Part of my passion as a facilitator is to introduce the practice and power of breathwork! I believe it is very important to have expert guidance to facilitate growth, healing, and address specific needs. 

What should I expect during a session?

Breathwork is an emotional and physical practice, therefore, a spectrum of emotions and sensations may arise during practice. I like to tell breathers to let go of expectations and be open to what arises. 

You may experience dizziness, temperature changes, tingling in the hands, feet, or around the lips, and urges to move (which is encouraged!). All of this is safe, normal, and welcome.
